St. Margaret's Bay Minor Basketball Association (SLAM) is  one of the largest volunteer based minor basketball clubs in Nova Scotia, offering recreational basketball programs to almost 500 kids between the ages of 6 to 17 in Timberlea, Hammonds Plains, Tantallon and the St. Margaret's Bay areas.  Our goal is to promote a positive basketball experience while emphasizing fair play.

In December 2013 we will be holding our 13th Annual Christmas Classic Invitational Basketball Tournament. Our Annual Tournament has become a highly anticipated event for the season and this year's edition will involve over 900 players and coaches and will include divisions ranging from Jr. Mini to Juvenile; both boys and girls.

2013 Tournament Details

• Dates:  Dec 27th - Dec 29th 2013
• Team Registration Fee: $450
• Format: 4-team round robin (guarantee of 3 games per team), followed by a championship game for the top two teams.
• Medals for the 1st and 2nd place teams.
• Tournament souvenirs for all players.
• Player of the Game awards after every game.
• Hustle awards after every game.
• Tournament Player of the Game and Hustle awards after each championship game.

The Christmas Classic is an invitational tournament - participating teams must be invited by SLAM coaches
